The collection consists of papers related to exhibits, auctions, crazy quilts, and research for books. Also in the collection are catalogues, posters, articles and newspaper clippings related to quilts and quilt history as well as photographs, negatives, and an extensive slide collection. Included are notes, scripts, sewn quilt blocks, patterns, and viewers' letters from quilting shows. The collection also contains many files of artist profiles, resumes, and correspondence.

She hosted three quilting shows in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including Quilting, Quilting II, and The Great American Quilt, all of which were shown on PBS.
